Ireland’s Oldest Therapeutic Chair
We’ve been supplying Seating Matters chairs for years – and because they’re built to last, we’re on a mission to find the oldest therapeutic chair still in use in Ireland.
We’ve been supplying Seating Matters chairs for years – and because they’re built to last, we’re on a mission to find the oldest therapeutic chair still in use in Ireland.
At Advanced Seating, we’ve seen first-hand how long high-quality therapeutic seating can support comfort, posture and day-to-day care.
That’s why we’re inviting therapists and care teams across Ireland to help us track down Ireland’s oldest Seating Matters therapeutic chair.
This is a celebration of durability, good clinical design, and the real-world impact chairs can have over time.
If your chair is confirmed as the oldest eligible entry,
Advanced Seating will replace it with a brand new version of the same chair model.
A fresh start for your team – and continued comfort for the person who relies on it.

Provided a Sorrento chair to a client and they had previously been pushing themselves from their chair to the ground due to discomfort. When using the Sorrento it was the first time the care givers saw the client relaxed and stopped fidgeting.
Robbie assisted in seating assessment with client to provide Sorrento 2. Chair helped to east pain for client and increased quality of life. Client sits out more and is able to be more independent as he can reposition independently. Helps his wife who is also unwell and she was repositioning in Milano previously.
Tina was experiencing severe anxiety with transfer and was beginning to develop a pressure injury due to refusal to sit any where other than wheelchair. The reps (Advanced Seating) were so patient with her during the assessment and helped put her at ease. When Tina received her Atlanta she felt like a queen on her throne. Along with other medical interventions, the proprioceptive benefits of the Atlanta chair have been a huge help in managing her anxiety and improving her wellbeing. Thank you.
